Historic Home Arts Day Saturday, March 24, 2001 10:00am - 5:00pm Investigate 19th century home arts and be amazed at the intricacy, creativity and scope of early domestic arts. Historic Home Arts - Coming Out at the Fair Assistant Curator of History Julie Avery will showcase a broad range of decorative arts from the MSU Museum collections -- forms which are largely unknown today. Demonstrations & Exhibits Throughout the MSU Museum, featuring primitive rag hooking, hair work, millinery and historic hats, and lace. Floral Hall Gallery tour With Val Berryman, Curator of History A Celebration of Fairs - A Family Fun Day at the Museum Saturday, April 7, 2001 10:00am - 5:00pm Elkanah Watson, "Father of the American Agricultural Fair" The Farm Lady Animals and early the early agricultural and home life experiences of young people will be explored through hands-on activities. Tractors at the Circle Saturday, May 12, 2001 11:00am - 5:00pm Area tractor clubs join with the museum to showcase the progression of agricultural innovation in farm equipment.
