Here, perhaps because of the sadness of the occasion, the artist has not used caricature to indicate ethnicity. He, instead, utilizes labels, as he does for representatives of non-ethnic groups. Note that the African American, because ethnicity is obvious, bears no label just like the representative of the church, who is made obvious by his dress and bible.
