"NMS made in the year 1928" is satin stitched in blue embroidery on the center block. The embroidered designs include animals, birds, fruit, baskets of fruit, and faces. Many of the animals are farm animals.

The quilt was purchased by a Virginia dealer at an estate sale in Bedford, Pennsylvania, at the home of Eunice Bitner. It was assumed that she may have embroidered the quilt, except the inititals are not hers.
