Willie Maddox of Kalamazoo, Michigan learned quilting from her
mother while growing up in Alabama. Because they did so much quiling
in their home, the quilting frame always remained assembled and
hung from the ceiling, ready to be lowered as soon as a top was
ready to be quilted.
