Join this virtual talk with Pamela Rasmussen, Assistant Professor and MSU Museum Curator!

This demonstration will feature MSU’s replica skeleton of the world’s largest-ever bird, the extinct Elephant Bird Aepyornis maximus of Madagascar, and its egg, the largest of any animal. It will also showcase other flightless birds and the evolution of flightlessness, gigantism, and its relationship to extinction risk.
