Using our Voices:  A Spoken Word Showcase Supporting Survivors

This spoken word showcase event, dedicated to survivors of sexual violence, promotes sexual violence awareness  while celebrating voices that speak back to structures of power and oppression.

Curated by Grace Carras (Intern, MSU Poetry Center; Co-host, The Poetry Room).

Organized with the MSU Museum, The Army of Survivors, the RCAH Center for Poetry at MSU, the Poetry Room, and the Inclusiveness Committee of the College of Communications Arts and Sciences

Co-sponsors include the Research Consortium on Gender-Based Violence and the GenCen

The event immediately follows the roundtable,  “Repair: Art, Ceremony, and Healing in the Shadow of Violence”  (5:30  – 7:00 pm) MSU Museum Habitat Hall.

This event is in support of the exhibition, “Finding our Voice: Sister Survivors Speak”, at the MSU Museum (April 16, 2019-March 30, 2020).
