Museum Education Manager, Michigan State University Museum Academic Advisory Council, Michigan State University Museum
Dr. Blair's research focuses on examining how learning happens in informal, out-of-classroom settings like museums and historic sites, to better understand impacts and improve methods. She develops educational programs for the museum's pre-K-12, university, and lifelong learning audiences. Her work includes emphases on digital and online learning. In her teaching, she strives to blend content, pedagogical approaches, and learning tools to create a classroom atmosphere in which students are actively engaged, not only in constructing knowledge, but also in developing themselves as professionals who learn and teach creatively and critically. She teaches courses about informal education and teaching methodologies.
As MSU continues to evaluate the safety of our campus and community in response to COVID-19, we have made the decision to close the MSU Museum. Due to the rapidly changing nature of the situation, we have not determined a reopening date. We will continue to communicate updates as they become available. During this time, we will do everything we can to stay engaged with you virtually. Access virtual learning and activity resources
