Undergraduate Liaison and Campus Outreach Specialist
As the MSU Museum’s Undergraduate Liaison and Campus Outreach Specialist, Elesha Newberry works to continue building on and expanding the connections MSU faculty and students are making to the Museum and its collections through class visits, course work, volunteer and internship programs, and academic and co-curricular events.
Elesha has a background in art, art history, and museum education and has worked with various museum users, including early learners, families, K-12 students, and college-age adults. Before coming to the Museum, Elesha worked at the Brooks Museum of Art and the Memphis College of Art (both in Memphis, TN) and the Ontario Museum of History and Art in Ontario, CA. Her interests include object-based learning, the museum as a third place, and interdisciplinary approaches to museum interpretation and engagement, such as VTS. She enjoys working with the campus community to create visitor-centered experiences at the MSU Museum.
