Major: Residential College in the Arts and Humanities
Minors: Museum Studies Portuguese
Originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Maggie is in her junior year at Michigan State University. After visiting the MSU Museum with her classes, she became interested in pursuing an internship at the Museum. She just began her internship spring semester 2020, but so far, her favorite part is researching ways to make positive changes to the Hall of World Cultures exhibit. In addition, she appreciates learning about the variety of collections held at the Museum.
Her favorite current exhibit at the MSU Museum is “Finding Our Voice: Sister Survivors Speak.” Maggie says that she is proud to work at an institution that has created an exhibit so important and necessary, even though the rest of the university has greatly disappointed her.
After graduation Maggie would like to pursue an advanced degree and eventually work as a curator in an art museum. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, going to cafes, shopping at Trader Joe’s, and visiting the Detroit Institute of Arts.
As MSU continues to evaluate the safety of our campus and community in response to COVID-19, we have made the decision to close the MSU Museum. Due to the rapidly changing nature of the situation, we have not determined a reopening date. We will continue to communicate updates as they become available. During this time, we will do everything we can to stay engaged with you virtually. Access virtual learning and activity resources
