MSU Museum Information Services Student Employee Major: Anthropology
Mia Pardel is a student employee at the MSU Museum working in both the MSU Museum Store and at the Information Desk. Originally from Midland, Michigan, Mia is in her sophomore year at Michigan State University. Mia became interested in working at the Museum after viewing the exhibits, especially the dinosaur skeletons and the artifacts in the Hall of World Cultures.
She said that the best part of her job is talking to new people and seeing all of the great events hosted at the Museum. Her favorite exhibit is the Main Gallery exhibit “Finding Our Voice: Sister Survivors Speak.” Mia said that she appreciates this exhibition because of the strong and important meaning of the exhibit.
After graduation Mia would like to work as an archaeologist in the Americas digging around the western hemisphere and teaching. In her free time Mia enjoys painting, dancing, reading, and learning new things.
As MSU continues to evaluate the safety of our campus and community in response to COVID-19, we have made the decision to close the MSU Museum. Due to the rapidly changing nature of the situation, we have not determined a reopening date. We will continue to communicate updates as they become available. During this time, we will do everything we can to stay engaged with you virtually. Access virtual learning and activity resources
